Getting My Rock OnCresting this route for the first time, took me several tries to figure out where to put my hands to start - tried several different starting positions then all of the sudden I had it. Kind of reminded me of "Hobbiton" at Governnor Stable - I'm not sure if this route has been named or rated yet.

Sit start variation w/o dynoWhoever "created" this route must have been tall, cause I can't do the dyno. So, I did a sit start variation and worked my way up and over. It was fun and have done it several times.

Mike's Warm-up climbMike Kelly's warm-up climb ... let me tell you, he will do it over and over until he gets it ... and then again to just to make sure. Once he tops it, he's ready to move on to the bigger and harder climbs elsewhere at Rock Run.

Snow FixThis is another angle of a huge boulder that has some water running through it on the other side. There is a nice place to walk up to it....but not easily topped. It's really blank.....I've got to hand it to Jon for even spotting this one out..... This is definitly one way to get your climbing fix in.

crankingThis is Jon Derr pulling the skin off his fingers in the middle of Janualy. Even in the middle of the river he finds some pretty ridiculous climbs and moisture doesn't stop him.

High Noon WaterfallThe water was very high the day I took this picture so I snaped a shot of it from a boulder in the stream. This waterfall is a constant presence while climbing on the High Noon boulder and is just one of many beautiful falls in the area.

The High Noon boulderThis is one of my favorite place to end the day in Rock Run. The approach is a thirty foot walk from the parking area right next to a water fall, and there are many nice sloper problems to enjoy.

The Perfect RailThis is John Derr making the first assent on "The Perfect Rail" located on the "Rim of the Cradle" boulder. He has been chomping at the bit to do a lot of the lines in the old miners trail. We cleaned them off a while ago but this is the first that conditions have been good in this area for a while.

Rim of the CradleThis problem is located on the opposite side of "The Perfect Rail". We didn't send this problem today but the line is ripe for the picking. A really cool problem located in the midst of a beautiful stream running down the mountain side.

Thin as ballsWe just put this problem up today and got its name because after climbing it I exclaimed, man this is Thin as Balls and that became its name. Not terribly hard but very fun probably around the V1 range, its just thin and technical.

SlitherThis is a pic of John working on a new project called slither. Its named this because of the odd way you start the problem. Obviously one of the most beautyful settings in the area.

The Blood Orchid, Spear Gun, and Noah's Prow bouldersThese are just a few of the amazing boulders located just along the old miners trail of Rock Run. There are many undeveloped routes on all three of these boulders all of which will be classics. In this picture is just one of the many waterfalls in the stream that the old miner's trial follows. Blood Orchid is the smaller boulder on the left. The one in the middle is called the Spear Gun boulder and the one on the right is Noah's prow
