Soothing the pain so the climb can be accomplishedMichael's left hand was so cut up that he couldn't even put a little tape on his hands. He was about to do a small finger crag with one small lay back but his fingers hand been bleeding enough that the chalk wouldn't work well enough.

Taking a break on the heel hook before transitionThis route is great if you like a fun climb with several heel hooks. The lighting just came out perfectly. Photo of Stephen Salstrand, by Abby.

Not an "outdoor virgin" anymore!I just started this whole Rock Climbing thing...so this is my very first attempt up a route outdoors. My climbing partner and I spent copious amounts of time climbing around in the local indoor climbing gym and even inside my airplane hangar, but I didn't feel like I was becoming a real rock climber until I climbed this route. Ah...memories. =)

Pretty good.I had fun on this one. Fun sequences, and you can setup a topo to cover "Hand Crack" too if not everyone wants to climb it. Me in the photo. Moving over towards "Hand Crack" at the top.

First outdoor climbingThis is me on one of my first outdoor climbs. The date was February 21, 2004. The place is PeeWee's, a great climb at Mineral Wells. I officially fell in love with outdoor climbing on this day!

Garth at the top of PeeWee'sThis is another shot by my son of Garth on PeeWee's. Here he is at the last few feet of the climb. Overall I think it retains the same difficulty level throughout the route. My son likes this photo in particular becasue of the "sparklies" from the sun
