Ropeless on Indian CrackA friend of mine discovered this crack near Canyonlands while working on his PHD. It had ancient steps carved into it by the Barier Indians over 4,000 years ago and Not one local archiologist had even seen it. I was given the chance to climb a crack that had not been touched in thousands of years, and to witness the multitude of art that awaited me.

Moses PD 4th pitchAfter the shortly relaxed 3rd pitch. Now a sustained hard work, espezially at the roof above me. There is no hand rest up to the 4st belay. Following the dihedral you can see already the Ear at the blue sky.

The old lady hard at work above us.The Washer Woman Arch above us is shown in the photo of her shadow. You can really see how she does indeed look like she is doing laundry.

Looking thru the windowThe first pitch ends at a smaller opening through the Washer Woman formation. The second pitch starts by stepping through the window and into a narrow chimney that splits the left wall just out of sight. It not at all a hard move but kind of thrilling as the exposure increses pretty dramatically once you step through the window.

Welcome to the Doll HouseA strenuous hike up the canyon wall from Spanish Bottom, (just after the confluence between the Green and Colorado Rivers) takes you the The Doll House. This wild rock formation captured my interest. Here's a panorama.

Russian Dolls on AcidNear Spanish Bottom, (just after the confluence between the Green and Colorado Rivers) this wild rock formation captured my interest. Here's my favorite of the "Dolls". To the best of my knowledge, no routes have yet been established here. But the rock is of decent quality, and I suspect trad lines could go.
