Chance on the crux of Great Bear10d is generally an easy grade for Chance, but the crux on this route is definitely its last move--and judging from his expression, Chance will be glad to be finished with it. Photo by Danielle Thalman.

In Oregon We Rust at Rattlesnake, ORThis is a shot by Alex (godfreyalex) of me on a fun route at Rattlesnake. This line is located on the right side of a little ampitheater with, let me say "interesting acoustic properites." Sounds that you may not want to be heard tend to reverberate and get amplified here.... Nate, you know what I am talking about! HaHaHa, you will NEVER live it down!

Leading ArebesqueLeading Arebesque, a classic Rattlesnake route. I'm shown clipping right in before crux.
(You can actually choose to take an easier move to the right, or go straight up the bolt line.)
This is one of my favorite climbs, because of the exposed feeling you get while doing the crux!
Climber is Ben Ford. Photographer is Rosie Rollins.

Not ForgottonThis is a short route-3 bolts/plus anchors. Could be a highball if it weren't for the bad landing zone with potential for a tumble down a steep slope. It cruxes down low and I've seen a couple belayers get fallen on or kicked around. Pockets, crimps, slopers and delicate feet charactarize this route.

Me (Steve) on lead of "In Oregon we rust", 10dThis is a pic of Steve Crews (yeah me) on "In Oregon We Rust" located on the far right hand side of Rainy Day Cave at Rattlesnake Crags in Southern Oregon. The climb is 10D sport. It's overhung with laybacks. Stay off the large ledge area to the right when your about to the top.
