This is me trying to place the first piece on the Ruper Traverse. Note the slight greenness to my face. . . yep Im dry heaving there. . . Whew. . . done! this was a GREAT climb and a pitch I've been wanting to lead for some time. I really wanted my lead on this pitch to be my first time on this pitch! I know that traverses are my *thing* so I knew I had to do it. . I am just so lucky to have had my gang with me . . Tradclimbinfool belaying me telling me just to relax and do it - and Willy up at the anchor telling me to get my a$$ up there !! I love my buds!! Thanks guys . . . . . . This is Tradclimbinfool starting pitch 3 of the NE Ridge of Bugaboo Spire. . . I don't know how many times I have heard since this photo was taken "that was the best pitch I have ever climbed!"

This is Wixay Peak in the evening light. We planned our Lake O'Hara trip just to climb Wiwaxy, but we forgot the guide book and other info we found out about the route in the car 11km below in the parking lot. Luckily the night before we met a couple from Boston and he had climbed the route just 3 yrs before - he gave us some general beta and we went for it anyway ... it was Great not knowing where we were going all day - it added to the adventure! - Photo taken by Tradclimbinfool
