This is my first pic posted so I thought it should be a good one. Im 17 and live in Chicago so getting to Montana to climb is rare. This was the funest and most beautiful route I did in MT It is under 70 ft but below the belayer dad is like another 150 feet so youre really actually very high up looking at the freezing cold lake It was something like 10 b its a good fun warmup

The 'direct' route (5.9er) is the left bolted line. The non-direct, but still straight-forward, route (5.8+) is the one on the right. There are only 2 bolted routes on this rock as of July 2005. Make sure you clip the bolt just above the second roof (the room) before you attempt to exit the room and head for the chains...

Ray B. of Canada goes up a 5.9 crack that didn't like it gets climbed much, down by the lake. We made an interesting 3 pitch route out of 3 crags with 10 degree grass slopes inbetween that we could have simply walked away from-life is what you make it!

Ray B. climbs a great burly cam-esque 5.8 crack on that? crag below the highway overlooking the lake.

Room with a view is a classic climb. Trying to pull over the first roof, if unsuccessful and you come off the rock you swing out looking a couple hundred feet down. Very fun area.

Ray B. tromps down the main highway at Stone Hill with his motor carriage parked at one of the popular sport crags. This area is great as it is totally acceptable to climb on these bolted roadside cliffs, there is even a bathroom built.

Stone Hill, Montana 08.12.02. The area is riddled with great climbs. I do not know the name, nor rating of this one. It was a blast for being on rock for the first time. The setting is beautiful next to Lake Koocanusa. Me on the top rope, wife took the shot. Thanks, G!

This is a 10b at Stone Hill in Montana. The white line running down the rock is dynamite blast line from when the road was built. The crux came at the second bolt, as a fall before the clip meant a plummet onto the
