This photo was taken Sunday May 28. I was climbing with my kids over at the AMC slab and my daughter Ashley took this photo of several climbers of different routes over at Near Trapps. One of the climbers looked to be wearing a yellow cape? Not red or black so I definately know it wasn't Superman or Batman. If you have a tendancy to climb with a yellow cape, and were on Near Trapps that day, this photo is of you. I've never been over to that side of the road, so it's difficult for me to say exactly what route each climber is one--and since there are several climbers on several routes, it's impossible to assign this to a particular route. If you know what route exactly these people are on, PM me and I'll update this info.

Three or four routes all lead to a chunky ledge (where I stand) before wandering their separate ways to the top of the cliff. I think I did about four of them that afternoon.

The Traverse off the second pitch of Layback, I was determinded to climb the first chimney clean this time around, I got up it, but it wasn't a pretty sight. Has anyone led that thing clean?

By now I was sure we were lost (but Josh wasn't so he was leading). Here is me on the belay ledge of Yum Yum Yab Yum (aka delicious love) being very skeptical and confused. What a beautiful climb, though!

Columbus Day Weekend at the Gunks. Surprised to find no line for Gelsea; had to hop on and enjoy the view.

The guys set up a toprope on this climb, as we had just a short amount of time before heading out at day's end.

One of my early climbs this year on Disneyland. I was took a class with EMS.

This is Edison on Fat City Direct. He has kind enough to lead it so I and my camera could follow. Since it was just the 2 of us, there wasn't much chance to shoot but I managed to sneak this shot in. Don't worry, brake hand on rope and Edison well aware! Anyway, the fisheye distorts but that is what I was hoping for to convey the scale of this ultra-classic climb. It was a great day.
