Just another sunny beautiful day in Red Rocks. Mecca contains good short routes to learn placement.

Just sending for the 2nd time Dr. Vera's off width roof problem. It's a very fun problem to work.

Lj is one of the neighborhood kids that my kids play with and has lived in Las Vegas for 5 years and had never been to Red Rocks. He had never been climbing either, and he loved it as well as did his sister. We were begged to bring them along again when we go out again.

Unfortunately he forgot his shoes and has out grown his climbing shoes. Dad is the process of ordering him a new pair of Sportiva - Fuegos.

My wife insisted on bring her fog dog (shitsu) out to the crag. The funny thing was that she'd just given him a bath and by the time we were tired of bouldering, his fur was no longer white but stained shades of red.
Hey I have to admit he loved being out with the family.
He's still a fog dog though

As I was scrambling on the boulders, I noticed the wild texture on this boulder. No photoshop or tricky lighting here.

Cherie' in the Valentine's Day corner. Not too hard - I was expecting the 5.8+ grade to mean that it was stout for the grade... not so.

Stephanie is climbing Valentine's Day on a sunny, breezy Sunday afternoon in March. Valentine's Day is a beautiful route, but has a few sections of hollow rock near the start.

Valentine's Day is a nice single pitch crack/corner that goes at 5.8. My girlfriend said she took this shot while laying down. Not bad!

This is pelliott on Valentines Day a 5.8+ or 5.9 corner crack near the end of the Calico Basin. There were native drummers near by.

This is such a stiking formation, with a very nasty reputation. I want to jump on this however have been told that the upper holds are dirty or have broken off. Thus your last move is a dyno off small crimps.
Well enough about beta, as I haven't been able to actually pull on the route and its all here say until the deed is done.

This is one pf my favorite boulders to pull on, as it includes a couple of off width moves. I personally love the north face with lots of small crimps and side pulls with feet smears. route is about 24' tall with a poor landing, but killa fun

Its a deceptive corner crack; it looks a harder than it really is due to the intimidating overhanging right side. Though towards the top, it gets a bit hairy- there's a few footholds you just have to trust
