This is ten year old Asya Grechka pulling the roof on Papa Bear (5.10c) at Pilot Mountain NC 20031130. Keep you eye on this young lady as she consistantly climbs 5.11s with ease at 10 years old. Her nickname is Champagne or Chimpanzee, actually I'm not sure as both seem to fit her. (Cheers!)

Great short TR route at Pilot. Very intimidating to see from the bottom, but tons of fun!

Great warm up route to the right of the three bears.

this route is really fun it is easy climibng to the roof and then the long pull to the lip and then you heel hook and you are done.

Just taking a little "Pee Break". This was my first trad lead. The route is pretty decent for a trad route at Pilot. Follows a hand size crack with lots of features, and gets a little steeper at the top. Thanks to Ron for the great angle of the picture.

The route is Kiss My Ass rated as a 5.8 (it has a couple of tough spots that feel more 5.9, but I'm a rookie). Danny McCracken took the picture on May 6, 2000.
