After having one of the wettest springs in recent history, Maple Canyon was full of water and beautiful and green. The only downside was that climbs close to the creek were difficult to do without getting a bit wet

This is my third lead on ice. It was in Maple Canyon on the first pitch of a 3 pitch (albeit short) climb called Brittle Stiffies. My first lead was in Provo Canyon on Stairway to Heaven, 2nd was in Big Cottonwood Canyon on Great White Icicle's first 2 pitches. It was a good year for ice in Utah, with prolonged cold temps.
