Downstream from Tic Tac, this trad mixed line is stupidly overhung out to a thin curtain and then finishes on some WI4-5. It was inspiring to watch him climb up and then downclimb the crux, then back up to redpoint it. He has balls of steel and the arms to match.

Thanks to those who pushed me over the bridge to be watched by all the spectators. A crowd is quite the motivation to not screw up.

amazing route that starts pretty mellow, a few steep mixed moves in the middle and finishes on some steep ice. a must do.

finished my yearly trip by trying my first mixed lead. tic tac (m7+) is a great climb near the lower bridge. can't wait to hit it again next year. thanks timmo for the great photo.

The 2004 Ouray Ice Festival Comp route was a steady ice section capped with a brutal M10 finish over bulging cauliflower ice. Good show!

WI4 route by the lower bridge. The chimney behind me has a few fun mixed moves, and adds some "spice" to the route. Fun stuff overall. (Thanks to Sandbag for the photo...)

Had alot of fun climbing hard routes with the reassurance of the top rope.Some of the new tools are really nice 4 this type of climb.Here I am struggling while being belayed by my favorite partner Steph.
