Jack, alias Mr Bean cranking through the lip of Firestarter, Tonsai Beach, Thailand. The crux is above this on a technical pocketed flat and smooth vertical. A Classic and solid for the grade! ©Richard Woodman 2006

Breede's on-sighting of 'Burnt Offerings' 7a+ (5.11d) is caught in the refelection of his belayer's sunglasses. I think this shot makes for an unusual and interesting photo. Like most of my photos, what you see, is how the shot was taken with no computer trickery or enhancement.

One that didn't quite make it!
Should this Kiwi friend of mine (name witheld.. if he buys the beers) be grabbing that rope on a whipper like this?

If you make it this far across the pumpy roof, then you've only the crux move to do before it's all over... one way or another. The 3 star classic 'Burnt Offerings' on Fire Wall at Tonsai, Thailand goes at 7a+ (5.11d). Here, 'Breede the Swede' pauses to shake out and offers one of the most photogenic shots of the day. Makes ya wanna be there, dunnit?

2002 Jenny climbing on the far left side of FireWall. Photo taken by Mike. A funky heel hook to gain the first bolt is the crux. This photo is just above the crux.
