year 2003 my first year nice lightening stuck the top of the rock on the next climb. nice for newcomer experience

This is Myself on Potholes, on Red Twin Spire in Garden of the Gods Park. The photo was taken on a disposable by Josh Bogdon. Simple, well protected, and very fun route to the top. South Gateway looked beautiful that day.

This makes for a fun lead, especially if its only your second... Luckily it was still too early for most of the "Tourons" who were mulling around the paths for my friend's ascent, and even video taped him ten minutes after this was taken.

Here I am climbing at tourist central in Garden of the Gods. I didn't think it would be as annoying as it was. I probably won't climb that section again due to high traffic.

I was pretty nervous the whole way up, wondering when my foot or hand was going to slip off of this "sand castle" I was climbing. Luckily as you can see there were some enormous potholes in this route, which is why it was named the Potholes. It was a 7.
