Past the hard part on Exposition

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Past the hard part on Exposition

The start is pretty awkward, but once on the wall things get much better. Lots of small bomber wires and big jugs. Photo by Yan

Preparing for the top out on Exposition

Average Rating = 1.00/5 Preparing for the top out on Exposition

One interesting move, a couple of good pieces, and you're ready to pull around the roof. Don't let appearences fool you, it is actually very very easy. Photo by Yan

Hamish pulling the crux on Hotlegs

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Hamish pulling the crux on Hotlegs

.....actually 'trying' to pull the crux on Hotlegs..... It just wasn't Hamish's day today, but he ended up doing Exposition with style anyway!

Full view of The Tors

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Full view of The Tors

One of the best trad crags in the Port Hills. Can be a bit exposed to winds, but faces west and gets sun most of the afternoon.

Me, on Hotlegs in the late afternoon

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Me, on Hotlegs in the late afternoon

This is a classic route, which probably explains why it has become so greasy. Stu's doing a great job keeping me confident though. Photo by Kirsten H.

The view from the Tors (w/ Stu)

Average Rating = 3.60/5 The view from the Tors (w/ Stu)

Thankfully, Stu was paying more attention to me climbing at this point (and showing some A-1 belaying technique), but the view of the Lyttelton Harbour and the Banks Peninsula is not to be missed. Photo by Kirsten H.

Doing my best to look like a contortionist

Average Rating = 3.90/5 Doing my best to look like a contortionist

Nudity is a great route with surprisingly good gear, once you have it sussed. The crux involves some fancy footwork and a bit of just plain "hangin' on".

A Lowe Ball's gotta fit.....

Average Rating = 4.07/5 A Lowe Ball's gotta fit.....

As much as I tried, lowe balls just didn't turn out to be the silver bullet I was looking for on Nudity. A standard set of wires and some C3s are the way to go for good gear!
