My partner is on the rock! It was a beautiful day. I'm not sure which route this is called but wanted to share with you guys.

Cool problem somewhere in the main area at Horse Flats. Big open hand crimps.

not sure of the route name but this is the first obvious overhang when walking into the main area. easy bottom section with slopey topout.

this is me making the semi long approach into horse flats. semi long because its not the season for that area and the gates were closed making it a long hike on paved road. it was pretty darn cold that day.

The route is Orange Flambe and I think it's up around V7 or V8. Here we see Isaac Palatt working hard on the start. I'd talk about the crux but I can't even begin to climb something this hard...yet. The photographer is Ryan Wanger.

This route is a fun V0 in the main area of Horse Flats right off of the trail. A high problem but does not compare to some of the other ones in the area. Isaac took this picture from the B1 traverse boulder. You can check out Spanked Industries pimp purple pad.

High Chaparral can be a bit of a bushwhack to get to, but it's well worth the effort. It's a thin, extra-crimpy face climb on a beautiful boulder across the wash from the main area. The boulder can be seen from several points along the main trail: it sits by itself in the chaparral, and its prominent orange face is split by an obvious horizontal crack. The problem shown here is V5; Sherman added a V7 variation, and there are some other problems as well.

Barndoor Arete is everything its name implies, and is one of the best 5.11 problems at Horse Flats. It's at the uphill end of the main area, just past Glitter Gulch (aka Zack's Roof).

There are probably pictures of this route already. I don't know the name. You can start off the deck or from a sit start under an overhang. THe route can be followed to the left or go up the face.

Doesn't look that high, but it's a weird landing.
