The crux at the top of this route makes it worthwhile.

I had forgotten the crux since my last visit a year or two ago. Cullen cruised it, then cruised the rest of the route. Sonso45 took on olympus digital May 06.

The view is awesome from up there. Rock looks intimidating but this pitch is well bolted. The band of rock has few cracks and a lot of blank dihedrals. It makes for awesome climbing. Sonso45 took with nikon digital on 022505.

This is me (yeah, posing for the camera) on Dr. Rubo's Wild Ride. This is actually a really great climb with beautiful cracks and nice exposure throughout.

I straightened the angle on Mark's lead of pitch 4; we both put bolts on lead on the pitch. It looks slabbier on the other photo. It is thin feet and awkward handholds that grab your attention. sonso45 took on nikon digital 020305.

Exciting climbing and reasonable pro make this a great day out in sedona. The route gets you to the top of a 500' dome near soldier pass road; called japhead in tim toula's guide. Four pitches of fun, one had to be completely bolted, not this one. Sonso45 took on nikon digital 020305.

Would you trust this anchor? one rusted old 1/4" next to two obvious holes where the other bolts pulled from? BTW, ck out that nasty chain held together by rusted little bolts! Yuck!
