I was stoked to hit the crack after the 2 bolt face. Seemed a little runout to me, pretty cool.

View of Gardner's Wall from the parking area. That is a lot of granite to look at all at once.

As more and more land gets eaten up in Phoenix area, the birds have less habitat. Consequently many areas that used to not have bird sh*t now have signs of the excrement. The last bolt on Fearless Leader is surrounded by a substance other than chalk. Perhaps these areas will be subject to seasonal closure in the future to preserve bird habitat (like Cochise Stronghold, The Summit Crags, and Granite Mountain).

Classic route in the McDowell Mountains. The first pitch consists of face climbing, a dihedral, a roof, and a crack. The second pitch is an easy face climb. This is a picture of Dale on the first pitch taken by Sheryl.
