Pingora from Lonesome Lake

Average Rating = 3.60/5 Pingora from Lonesome Lake

After the haul across the pass, and descent along the glaciermelt streams that feed the Lonesome Lake, the goal of Pingora rises, at last, against a perfect August sky.

Waterfall

Average Rating = 2.33/5 Waterfall

Wyoclimber hanging out near the center of the cirque of the towers, by a little waterfall that is fed by hidden lake. The water here was probably snow 20 minutes before going over the edge!

I am standing about a two hours hike from the base of Pingora's Peak (the right most peak) in the Cirque of the Towers. We are at about 10,000 feet here. Majestic views on a beautiful Wyoming afternoon.

the classic wolf's head photo from the top of Pingora

Average Rating = 0.00/5 the classic wolf's head photo from the top of Pingora

After 1 or 2 raps we traversed 2p west to Wolfs Head on a faint ledge system. The traverse is not obvious but not difficult (5.7) and must be quicker than rapping down and hiking back up to wolfs head. We had heard of rap from the summit of Pingora to Wolf's Head, but did not find it.
