Water Streak is a great route if you dig unprotected slab! Chase was actually running up the second pitch! Good stuff!

Great Expectations was the first trad lead I ever did a couple of years ago. Sweet slab climb, perfect for a rank beginner. You'll lose some skin but not much else.

Great beginner lead on Elk Slabs in the Wichita Mtns., OK. Lots of rope drag once you go around the corner under the overhang...you'll feel like an inch worm, pull rope...make move...pull rope...etc.

This shot was taken at the base of Great Expectations, you can see the dihedral just to the right in the photo, and buns up to the left, this was my first approach to the base so I took on many a cactus thorn to get this shot :-)

Topher Bentley blows the onsight of Eliminator, a slightly overhanging hand crack next to Elk Slabs. The cruxy upper section spits him out like a watermelon seed. He finished the ascent in style with a stunning rock humping move. It was awesome.
