Started after a 2 hour bushwack on the east side of the toe. Here rob climbs the wide gravely first pitch

Here rob climbs the corner on the third pitch. Passing an ancient ring piton he placed a nut and ran out the final 35 over akward 5.7/8 climbing. I opted for the more straight forward and aesthetical knobs tothe right. Killer pitch.

here I am way up at the top combining pitches 4 and 5 with a little simul climbing. I called this the enduro pitch because all it seemed I was doing was stemming smears on the side walls. Very tiring.

John cruised this classic in no time. Still couldnt having the endurance to do the second pitch.

This is what happens when you throw a 5.12 face climber from colorado on a perfect 2 inch crack. Cortney from boulder lie backs this nice line to the right of 3am crack. After resting on the rope, she mentions, "This route is pumpy!"

After a couple days on castleton, we had time to reflect on our ascents and failures. Sean Adams took this pic by our campsite early one morning.

The hike uphill is worth it if only to hike the ridge between these two goliaths.
