another good day in TexasMaybe you have seen this area, maybe not. Just outside of Austin is Pace Bend park. Several coves have overhanging cliffs into deep water. Nice way to beat the heat.

Deadpoint to the beakThe feature above the 2nd bolt is often refferred to as the "beak". It is a true chicken head , and you have to deadpoint to it and if you dont grab it just right it bites back.

Smith Rock vacationIn September of'03 we took 7 days at Smith Rock. while I had been told it was all choss and we did find some pretty loose rock, it wasa great week. This is the birth place of sport climbing. The home of the United States first 5.14 A really great week.
