Just swapping shoes from "climbing" to "trail" for the down-climb off of Solar Slab (not a downclimb I would choose to repeat). Photo taken by Larry DeAngelo.

Early morning approach (6am or so) to Solar Slab (on left). The sun was rising behind us as Larry DeAngelo (partner and guy who took picture) hiked in. The low angle of the sun cast a beautiful orange/red hue on the already colorful rock.

On the approach trail at about 6:15am (Oct 26th. '03) heading to "Solar Slab" in Red Rock Canyon (on right) with Larry DeAngelo for my first multi-pitch climb (thanks Larry). The hour, the hike in and the view of the canyon all set the mood for an awesome day of climbing (photo taken by Larry DeAngelo and edited down by me).
