I climbed up some poor rock to get this photo. It looks to be very close to the guide book photo.

My hands are to big to get a good jam in at the roof. So I had to do the Layaway plan on it. I fall a few move after this. Need to keep the pump in check.

This guy from AZ gave it his all on King Cat. But he did on bring a #3BD for the roof. He was taking some large falls off this point on the climb. He did give over the roof on his last attempt, but could not hold it.

Here I am trying to make the starting moves on Scarface. Just a little above that I had to hang. The crack was thin for me. Next time I will be it clean.

We set a top rope on this 5.12 from Batteries not included. A Few of us took a run on it. Thin fingers are a big help. This is Tara getting ready to taking a run on it.

My friend Marya took this picture while scotto and I climbed around Hidden Valley. I just think this is a great picture with the Joshua Tree, the rock, the moon and the climber all in one shot. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Getting out early paid off. We jumped on Coyotes at Sunset to start the day. Here I am leading Coyotes at Sunset
