Topo of routes at Eufala Bluffs

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Topo of routes at Eufala Bluffs

Here's a topo of the DWS routes at the Eufala Bluffs. Both are shown starting from the dry area, but it should be possible to start from directly out of the water as well. Route to the right is shorter, more overhung, with big moves. Route up the middle is longer but more straightforward, but pumpy - and the topout will make you pucker a bit.

Morning Greeting From The Great One

Average Rating = 3.60/5 Morning Greeting From The Great One

Got up early one morning near the toe of the Nelchina Glacier (Chugach Mountains) and were greeted with a beautiful sunrise (as always) which highlighted Denali rising up in all its splendor about 150 miles away.

View From Summit of Fafnir

Average Rating = 3.40/5 View From Summit of Fafnir

Took this series of pictures from the summit of Mt. Fafnir last summer and finally got around to cropping them and putting them together. You can just make out the Wrangell/St. Elias peaks on the left. If you look closely on the right you can also see Prince William Sound snaking up into the mountains. The view was, needless to say, spectactular.

Benj Topping Out Something In Cabo

Average Rating = 4.00/5 Benj Topping Out Something In Cabo

This is my little bro finishing a climb we found on the rocks on the Pacific side, just down the beach from the Playa Grande resort where we stayed. There were some bolts at the top, and one on the climb, none of which I would trust. I worked a variation (which I dubbed Dysentary due to my unfortuneate affliction while there) of what appeared to be a route, whereas the established route starts about 10 ft to the right of my belay stance, my variation went straight up from where I'm standing. I'd say it goes at about 5.11b/c, with a sickening dyno crux. A nice little traverse I dubbed "A Schooner is a Sailboat Stupid" follows the obvious horizontal line just above my head.

Typical College Spring Break in Mexico...

Average Rating = 3.33/5 Typical College Spring Break in Mexico...

This is me bouldering an unnamed V1-V2 on the Pacific side of the tip of the Baja. Got talked into going with my family and a few friends, and these rocks were the only thing that kept me sane.
