Lowe Route 1985That is me on the bolt ladder on about the 9th pitch of the Lowe Route. Real steep and the wall undercuts there so you get some good exposure. (sorry for the quality these are scanned slides)

5.8 Traverse Pitch, Lowe RouteGuy Toombes leading the very exposed 5.8 Traverse Pitch on the Lowe Route Angels Landing about 1985. I was so happy setting up the belay there knowing that was not going to be my pitch. I couldnt quite figure out where the route went and even though it is only 5.8 there is about 1000 feet of good air below his heels. Awesome.

This was a drilled pocket route.....I Nhope it is not there anymore and somDon't focus on the tights. Check out the white drilled hold up and right from me. Someone drilled the route and then someone went and filled it in. around 1985

Plaster filling fell out...Around 1985....Someone had drilled some holes in a beautiful face to make it into a 5.9 or so. Despicable.....Please don't do this.......
