'Cheat'

Average Rating = 0.00/5 'Cheat'

Just when he thought no-one was looking (but I've got a 10x optical zoom and Im bragging!) I caught this guy just yesterday following on the second pitch of 'Green Route III' 6a & 5+ (10b & 10a) after his girlfriend had led it clean - Shamed but un-named! I love his cheeky expression, like some naughty schoolboy. Good to see him wearing a brain bucket too. Location: Costa Blanca, Spain.

'Ira est Mors'

Average Rating = 3.00/5 'Ira est Mors'

The stunning rock that makes Tonsai so popular for climbers from across the globe... as well as a difficult place to leave. The route is 'Loisl' 6c+ and the climber is Tomas from the Czech Rep. Apparently, he won the world championships in 2003. Anyone confirm?

Average Rating = 3.50/5 'Robert Parker Sang'

Maybe it was too hot to wear boots? A tough sole (groan!) climbing shoeless on 'Viking in the Heat' 6c (5.11b). Robert Parker? 10 points to anyone that can make the connection!?

Flash hombre Nick Devore makes the most of an opportunist hands-free rest to chalk up... maybe the blood rush to his head helped with his focus on 'Pepsi Says Looks Good' 8a+ (5.13c).

'ReCollection'

Average Rating = 3.67/5 'ReCollection'

One way to spend your rest day at Tonsai is to take some photos. I took a few of this guy on 'Reminiscence' 7a+ (5.12a) on Dums Kitchen. In a compact size to suit this site unfortunately, some of the detail of the climbers on the beach is lost

'Fade to Grey'

Average Rating = 3.67/5 'Fade to Grey'

Point Perpendicular in NSW, Australia has to be one of my favourite places. On this visit, we were lucky enough to see humpback whales return from their annual migration. It's one of the most stunning areas I've been fortunate enough to climb in. All routes are reached by rapel, so be sure you can get back up before you pull your rope!! Nic leads 'Grey Mist' (17) and I like this shot because it focuses more on the route than the climber and reveals something of the natural beauty and atmosphere of the place. Photographer: Aeon Jones

'Just Two More Moves and You're There'

Average Rating = 4.00/5 'Just Two More Moves and You're There'

An unknown climber on un-named route, believed to be graded at 7a+. Recent new-routing on Hat Phra ngan, Railey Peninsular appears will have a short life. This and another 4/5 routes are rumoured to be de-bolted soon because the locals dont like climbing in proximity to the sacred Princess Cave. Bouldering there has always been accepted as you can see by the over-chalked holds at the base of the wall.

Breede's on-sighting of 'Burnt Offerings' 7a+ (5.11d) is caught in the refelection of his belayer's sunglasses. I think this shot makes for an unusual and interesting photo. Like most of my photos, what you see, is how the shot was taken with no computer trickery or enhancement.

Burnt Out

Average Rating = 4.10/5 Burnt Out

If you make it this far across the pumpy roof, then you've only the crux move to do before it's all over... one way or another. The 3 star classic 'Burnt Offerings' on Fire Wall at Tonsai, Thailand goes at 7a+ (5.11d). Here, 'Breede the Swede' pauses to shake out and offers one of the most photogenic shots of the day. Makes ya wanna be there, dunnit?
