Night time shot after hiking out.

Average Rating = 2.50/5 Night time shot after hiking out.

I took this shot with a long exposure time (on a digital) as we were hiking out. Can't see a dang thing on the rocks, but the sky was just gorgeous.

My climbing buddy tying in.

Average Rating = 3.00/5 My climbing buddy tying in.

This is the big crack on Rope De Dope Block. Pretty easy climb, but nice and sustained. GREAT to climb at almost all day because you always have shade. But the approach to the top for roping up is a daisy chain aid ladder. Kinda sketchy. Especially with all the sun it gets. Dang thing gonna break one of these days.

The terrible start to Bunny Face

Average Rating = 2.33/5 The terrible start to Bunny Face

This is me CAREFULLY starting up to the first bolt on Bunny Face (5.7) which, like most climbs at Smith, has the first bolt WAY off the deck.

My ugly mug at the Skull Hallow Campsite near Smith Rocks

Average Rating = 4.00/5 My ugly mug at the Skull Hallow Campsite near Smith Rocks

Yeah, this is what I look like in the morning. This is the Skull Hollow camp ground, which is FREE, just outside of Smith Rocks. Not the greatest campsite in the world, but did I mention it is FREE?

Me sitting on the top of Dancer

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Me sitting on the top of Dancer

This is my SECOND trip up this climb for the day. I talked my partner through the steps of cleaning gear, and she ended up leaving two beaners up there, and I didn't notice until after the rope was pulled. Oooops. The crux comes just after the 4th bolt. It is a mental bender, but moves real good.
