Luke on B-52

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Luke on B-52

This is Luke climbing B-52 out at Taylors Falls. This is a good problem. Neither Luke or I topped out on it, but we got most of the way. The crux is 6 feet of smooth rock 12 feet off the deck with only two small crimpers for holds. We highly recomend this problem to anyone in Taylors Falls.

Lieback at night

Average Rating = 2.33/5 Lieback at night

Me and my friend were at Taylors Falls for a weekend, and it was almost dark, we were walking back to our campsite when we saw this problem. it was pretty easy, but fun. We both sent it in 1-2 tries. It is in the potholes area in Taylors Falls.

Sit start formation

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Sit start formation

My friend took this picture after we had just climbed for 8 hours already. We were both pretty tired, and were just having fun trying some new routes and messing around. We had set up a hammock by the problems we were working on and we took turns taking pictures and resting and trying the routes. This was a prety fun problem. After the move in the picture, it got pretty hard, but it was cool.

Easy problem at taylors falls

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Easy problem at taylors falls

This is a photo of a problem me and a friend found on the way back to our campsite. it was easy, but fun after a hard day of tough climbs. If you find it its worth doing. it only takes a few minutes to figure it out.

Friction Overhang

Average Rating = 2.50/5 Friction Overhang

This is me on an overhang about 10 feet off the deck, it's a fun problem with not too bad a landing. It's in the Boneyards area, it's pretty interesting if you make the tree pockets (one of which my foot is in) off limits.

Premordial Soup

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Premordial Soup

This is the sickest place to climb (literally sick) I'm above this nasty pothole filled with sick, nasty water. Ben took this photo at great risk to falling into the pothole, which would have ruined the whole trip. We decided it would be better to do it without shoes in case we fell. there's a monster ledge for your hands about 7 feet above the water so it's unlikely you'll fall, but nevertheless, it's a crazy feeling climbing there and hearing the guy taking the shot say: "Just a sec, stay there a little longer..." and then your fingers start to slip...

Name sake

Average Rating = 2.50/5 Name sake

This is the frog that lives on this problem. It's an awesome problem that we haven't freed yet... hence the name. This frog is crazy, he jumped of the top of the problem and LIVED! That would be like one of us jumping from half way up El Cap. He likes to be in this finger crack a lot. He's also our mascot.

The final jam

Average Rating = 1.00/5 The final jam

My friend took this picture of me when I was in the final moves of this bouldering problem. It's a really fun crack with a stump in it. About a 5.9. My left hand is on that edge at the end. Right hand is jammin.

Bouldering Stump Crack

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Bouldering Stump Crack

This is a sweet crack in quarry park. There is a tree stump behind his right heel. The start is on the left side of the crack to avoid the stump and the crux is a pivot to the right side of the crack and then jamming your left hand. From there it's pretty easy, there's a crimper at the top that helps at the end. It's about a 5.9. It's a really fun route. It's fun to try and eliminate holds to make it harder.

Bloody Traverse

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Bloody Traverse

My brother took this one after I cut myself on a ~5.10 traverse under a low hanging ledge in North Dakota. It's a really fun route. There are about 12 moves and the crux is a dyno to a hand hold about as big as 4 keyboard keys. While doing the dyno all you have for support is a pretty slippery heelhook and a sloping hand hold for your left hand. It's pretty intense. The route is about a twenty minute drive out of Willison in the town of Alexander. The route is unnamed.

Bloddy Traverse Crux

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Bloddy Traverse Crux

This is another one my brother took of me on a ~5.10 in Alexander, ND. There was abosoutely no climbing elsewhere so I had to settle for this. I must say though, it is a pretty sweet route. I took me about 3 days to get it. This is the crux, a dyno to the right hand hold about as big as four keyboard keys.

Bouldering to warm up

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Bouldering to warm up

This is a pic my dad took while I was getting ready to do some highballing in Middle Earth. It's a pretty sweet place. There are endless climbs. Enough to keep you there forever. Just pick a place and climb.

Climbing a crumbly sandstone traverse

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Climbing a crumbly sandstone traverse

My dad took this pic while I was climbing a pretty easy traverse in Theodore Roosevelt Nat'l park (the north unit). It's about a 10 minute drive from the park entraance, really bad climbing though. The only solid thing on the whole cliff is the flat looking stuff I'm holding onto.

Needle's Eye Silhouette

Average Rating = 4.00/5 Needle's Eye Silhouette

This is a picture I took of the needle's eye chimney. I didn't think it would turn out this cool. It's a good climb so I have heard. I still have to try it out though... one day.
