SOOOO Much Rock So Little TimeI took this picture while backpacking in Yosemite; It was my first time there. Unfortunately I did almost no rock climbing. On the plus side I got to see a lot of the park and had the time of my life. I will definitely be returning to climb in the future.

High Noon WaterfallThe water was very high the day I took this picture so I snaped a shot of it from a boulder in the stream. This waterfall is a constant presence while climbing on the High Noon boulder and is just one of many beautiful falls in the area.

The High Noon boulderThis is one of my favorite place to end the day in Rock Run. The approach is a thirty foot walk from the parking area right next to a water fall, and there are many nice sloper problems to enjoy.

Rim of the CradleThis problem is located on the opposite side of "The Perfect Rail". We didn't send this problem today but the line is ripe for the picking. A really cool problem located in the midst of a beautiful stream running down the mountain side.

The Perfect RailThis is John Derr making the first assent on "The Perfect Rail" located on the "Rim of the Cradle" boulder. He has been chomping at the bit to do a lot of the lines in the old miners trail. We cleaned them off a while ago but this is the first that conditions have been good in this area for a while.

Thin as ballsWe just put this problem up today and got its name because after climbing it I exclaimed, man this is Thin as Balls and that became its name. Not terribly hard but very fun probably around the V1 range, its just thin and technical.

Preparing for the top outThe top out of this problem is really awkward and scary and until the other day I had never done it. It is really the mental crux of the route, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be LOL.

SlitherThis is a pic of John working on a new project called slither. Its named this because of the odd way you start the problem. Obviously one of the most beautyful settings in the area.

Conquering my nemesisThis is the Mojo, I have been working on and off on this problem for years and I finally topped it out. I was on a high for the rest of the day. It was definitely an experience that reaffirmed the reason I climb.

Mr Mojo RisinThis is my dog Mr. Mojo Risin aka Mojo. He always accompanies me to all of the local crags and is quite a climber himself. He can eat fourth class for lunch and have even seen him do some easy fifth class stuff!! I just wish that I had his strength and agility.

The Blood Orchid, Spear Gun, and Noah's Prow bouldersThese are just a few of the amazing boulders located just along the old miners trail of Rock Run. There are many undeveloped routes on all three of these boulders all of which will be classics. In this picture is just one of the many waterfalls in the stream that the old miner's trial follows. Blood Orchid is the smaller boulder on the left. The one in the middle is called the Spear Gun boulder and the one on the right is Noah's prow

Trying to stay warm at the RedMy partner took this picture of me last March when we were at the Red River gorge. It was so cold that I had to resort to warming up in my car. I feel asleep and he scared the living crap out of me and snaped this shot.

Ken on diamonds in the roughThis route its called Diamonds in the rough and is in the V4 range. It starts in a coal seam and traverses under the roof to big jugs on the lip and the crux is a reachy top out. It is a super fun beautiful route. Photo credit: Brian Hiller

John finishing diamonds in the roughThe crux for this route is the top out. You are pulling on huge jug with crystals that destroy your hands and a shallow heel hook on the lip. If you can reach the top its pretty its pretty flat. Photo credit: Brian Hiller

Ken on Mosquito's nestThis is a great warm up problem and is usually were we start the day. It is a very unique problem; you start with your heels hooked on both sides of the arête higher than your hands. It has become one of my favorite routes. It is rated in the V3 range.
