Slabclimbing in Bleau... Intensely focussing on surviving. I HATE slabs. but I force myself because it seems to be good for technique

I took this picture of my climbing partner, when he came down from the last route of the day. It was a beautiful sunset, which ended a beautiful day of climbing.

that's a high!

Average Rating = 4.60/5 that's a high!

Picture at the top of my first REAL multipitch. I loved the clim. The first part then. Just before we realized that we took the wrong route. (actually wanted to do 'circus oz') So after the planned 7a we got a 7b instead of a 6b. Which sucked. Especially since my top is at 7a and I just climbed one. The picture shows my relief of having finished the climb (it was taken on the last pitch AFTER struggling through a route which was WAY too difficult for me). Ow yeah, point of advise: NEVER do a multipitch in the middle of the day on a rock which never gets shade. It is just very hot. ;-) (just in case you don't want to find out the hard way)

Checking out da babes

Cool route, which I found fairly easy to do. (I just like short overhangs) The start had the most difficult part. Luckily I knew where the kneebar was, otherwise I wouldn't have made it.

Me on Heinz ;-)

Average Rating = 3.75/5 Me on Heinz ;-)

Heinz is a beautiful route on a beautiful face in Berdorf. (you can't miss it.) It's rated as a 6c, though the grades in Berdorf are generally not hard. The route starts with a little overhang. Then there is a nice little slab and after that the great overhang starts. In this greatest last section the holds get progressively worse and the crux is almost at the end. (Don't go for the mono, but go to the left (had I only known it beforehand)) The bolts have a good distance, though there is one, which is about 6 metres with a pretty tricky fall. (rock sticking out of the face, where you could slam into.) The holds are good in this section though. GO BERDORF!!

Marietta Tex 6a

Cool though pretty difficult route on the 'massif dreyfus' in Berdorf. Pretty airy climb with not all too difficult moves. The route's line is not so straightforward and you have to watch out not to end up too much to the right, because there is a more difficult route. The rock is as beautiful as everywhere in Berdorf!

somewhere in Bleau

This was, I believe a 5a Boulder in Fontaine Bleau. Can't remember where exactly. But I liked the moves. It's always a bit tricky to go over the top.

Crux move on the wild kingdom

Average Rating = 3.50/5 Crux move on the wild kingdom

This is the crux move at the very top of a very pumpy overhanging 6c on a beautiful face in Thailand. It took me a couple of attempts to do the route, but it was just great finishing it.
