Ice Klettern mit RaphealOnce every few years does this waterfall freeze over. So we jumped at the chance to climb it. The ice was to thin for screws. After a couple times up we tried it without axes and it was much easier.
Normally climbing is not allowed in this area. We had permission from the local police. They were there checking the ice out for themselves.

Todd on Block RouteBeuatiful day in December. Todd learning the art of slab climbing at Stone Mountain. Normally Todd climbs hard vertical sport routes but after today he only wants to climb hard vertical sport routes again. But really its not that bad onlyabout 45 meters to the first piece of gear.

clavicle screwThe surgery went well even with minor complications due to a bit more bone damage that was not noticeable in prior x-rays. One screw with a generous wrapping of surgical thread to hold the smaller pieces in place. Hopefully in a month I can start a more strenuous PT program. I am so ready to be able to ride and hopefully get back to climbing.
