I have chosen not to spent the summer in the Olympics- crazed Athens. Instead, I returned to Chios, an island in the Aegean and my birthplace. Mavra Volia (Black Spheres) was the beach I used to swim and boulder on the scattered volcanic rocks

Some people hate it. Others are addicted to it. Climbing in Meteora means scarcely placed bolts, few places for trad gear, and huge runouts. At the same time it means having a great view of one of the most breathtaking landscapes in Greece

We hiked all day in the fog and found this camping spot just before nightfall. When we arrived although we knew we were close to the 500meters walls of Astraka, we could not see any of it. With the first light I opened the door of my tent and faced the sheer might of the North Astraka walls...Photo taken at Mt Tymfi , North Pindus Ridge, Greece (yeah Greece..)

V climbing on the fantastic red wall of the newly discovered crag. The place is located in the most unlike of all places. A well hidden idyllic ravine near the industrial area of Aspropirgos, Athens, Greece.
