Description:

An alpine route with some rock. A great high altitude outing and introductory alpine climb. At the top of the boulder field, head to the edge of the diamond, then climb on to the north face up a dihedral one 5.4 pitch. Look for old eye bolts marking the path of the cable that used to be fixed here. The rest of the way to the top is 4th and 5th class scrambling. This is the quickest descent from Long's as well. See climbingboulder.com for photos, topo, etc.

5 out of 5 stars Cables in late August

Great route. This was the first alpine route and the technical ascent was completely wet. The water addded a little more difficulty to the climb but it wasn't hard to overcome.

5 out of 5 stars First time on Longs... I'll be back.

What an awesome mountain!!! Now I know what everybody has been raving about. The North Face was very wet, but it was still very easy.

3 out of 5 stars ascent note

Snowed out...which made the first section from Chasm view actually easier. Upper eye bolts were exposed. Had to bail due to partner but had a blast anyway.

4 out of 5 stars 5hrs from the parking lot

A little verglass on the route and the lower bolts were still hidden by snow, but a really fun route
