Description:
Kind of a hard route to find. From the cirque on the SE side of Nez Perce hike up snow and talus to higher of two notches in the ridge to the west. From the notch, traverse to a large free standing block at base of a chimney. Climb the chimney to series of step like ledges. Climb the steps. Follow the ridge up to a wide layback crack. Above the crack is a massive ledge system that cuts across the South face. Traverse along the ledge and pick a line. Most of the climbing on the upper face is easy, but it was the scene of a nasty accident in July 2002. Something like 8 pitches in all. Descend to the NW into Garnet Canyon.
