Description:

As of May 5, 2008, this route is no longer climbable. From the Austin Climbers listserv: "Saturday I went to check if Gang Bang was going to be fixable... I investigated the suspect hold and as Merrick said it was loose, very loose. With not much effort the whole flake came crumbling down... The rock was so rotten you could crumble it in your hands. There are a few crimps on the wall but, the route is a lot more difficult (mid 13 or so). Anyway, a bit more cleaning needs to happen. I need a bigger crow bar.. Also, whatever route is directly left will also be affected and it's first bolt is nearly rusted through.... Pete tore down the starting blocks as well so people wont on this route" Rupesh Chhagan re-sent it pulling on the loose choss and figured mid-13. The low section probably needs further cleaning. Bumping grade to 13c.
