Description:
If you're not comfortable at the grade, pick something else. This is the striking white arete about 100' right of the stairs from the parking lot. Though the climbing certainly isn't harder than than 10a, it is heady and bold. A fixed pin used to protect the crux, but is now gone. You can place a 00 TCU (or like-sized piece) in its place, but it uses up part of the crux handhold. It's possible to catch a fall from the crux, but your belayer had better be good. If you're up for it, you won't be disappointed. Angel's Arete has just the right mix of perfect stone, aesthetic climbing and terror.

first areate and worth it
First time doing areate climb and it was a great climb. During the climb had to do lot of high steps where you stand up and hope there are some good hand holds above. It required a lot of balance and was fun after the 2 or 3 time of doing the same move. once at the top was able to take in the view and overall i really enjoyed the climb.
