4 out of 5 stars Amazing!

This has to be one of the coolest things I've ever experienced. The crystal band was magical! The guide book was not specific about the two necessary and significant down climbs required to ultimately reach the final peak.

5 out of 5 stars rad

led with three pitches to crystal band, unroped until about notch where there's very exposed move, stayed roped rest of way.

apparently there's a block missing as you move off the summit block, making it more committing now.

west face descent was more like low class 5 for most of it, may have not taken the correct one. Went down pretty much just past summit, on westish south/westish side.

5 out of 5 stars Winter full on style

Yep, I might be addicted...another winter route in the bag, albiet a small one...but it doesn't take much wind, cold, snow and ice to make a tiny mountain feel kinda big! I led all pitches free in boots and gloves. Two loong pitches to the top of the crystal pitch, then three more pitches to the summit. Stayed roped the whole way. Snowed on us quite a bit on the summit ridge. Fun in a weird sorta way...Gonna come back and solo it this summer...

4 out of 5 stars Super fun peaklette

Fun, short climb; solid pro. Lots of natural protection, e.g., horns. The crystal band is beautiful; it's unlike anything I've seen (or climbed). Trenchdigger's topo photo (http://www.rockclimbing.com/cgi-bin/photos/jump.cgi?Detailed=58392) is far better than those in both Croft's book (The Good, the Great & the Awesome) and Lewis & Moynier's book (Mammoth Area Rock Climbs).
