Description:

This route is on the left hand side of the left arete as you will see when you first approach the area. It is on the bridal path, the wooden fence leads to it (if you follow the fence you can't miss it). The upclimb is off the backside. When you approach you will see a nice slab for setting up your gear/food. Then follow the bridal path on the right side of the face it will walk you to the back side where you will turn left. Easiest way to start the up climb is to climb the two boulders and then jump (or step depending on your size) across and then climb the rest. Two bolts are in place and its not a bad idea to toss a shorty rope over to help bring up gear and other people if they want to come. Once on top and walking back across toward the face there will be two solid bolts on your left hand side these should be good, but always check them out first before using as anchors. There are also several decent trees along the edge for anchors. difficulty ranges from the left side at 5.6- to 5.8+ on the right side by the bridal trail. If you go up the middle between these points (look for smooth area with barley any holds its about a 5.10 start. GPS Cord N39 degrees 27.438 W082 degrees 33. 220

Descent Options:

rap down or down climb that hairy upclimb. I usually lower and drop as much gear and then down climb back to the boulder.

5 out of 5 stars Fun for all

easy lay back, nice holds all the way up. Try the crack around the arete to the right.

3 out of 5 stars Ok I guess

Hairy to get up there to set up the top rope. Rope ladder is dead; one rope is frayed through, and what remains is too dangerous to use. The bolt ladder is still in decent shape though.

The front face is reasonably entertaining; layback the crack to keep it mellow, or climb the slab in between the crack and the right-side arete if you want to challenge yourself. The top is covered with juggy pockets.

3 out of 5 stars got it

pretty straight forward I think getting up to set the top rope anchor was harder than the climb

4 out of 5 stars Tough Upclimb Solid Climb

Lots of options. If you climb all the way on the left side it is slightly positive the entire route. Great for confidence building. then work them over toward the right. Good Crack to work, couple spots to work on mantles, and some harder stuff on the right side on the horse path.
I would agree with the 5.6- for the left side, but as you go right and turn the corner the route could easily be a 5.8+ Anchors on top include bolts and several trees. Even two bolts on the upclimb off the back side to help secure yourself when packing gear up.....or down
