Description:

This three pitch trade route is a fun climb for moderate leaders. It is the climb to farthest left (and uphill) as you are looking at the west face. A tree grows on the ledge where the climb starts. The route goes to the top of Wind Tower in three pitches, with an option of walking off after two pitches. There is an alternate 5.6 start up ramp left (rope drag!!). If you opt for the 5.8 variation, the crux is in the first 15-20 feet-- climb the right flake and step right out onto the face (a 5.8 move). The rest of the route is 5.6 at most. To start the second pitch, go out to the far right (around the corner) on the belay ledge (as you are facing the wall)to find the crack system.

fun climb

Started on the ground rather than at the tree ledge accidentally which worked out fine. Did the 5.8 variation. Did the 3rd pitch. The "walk off" after the 2nd pitch is a scramble/down climb - just FYI.

First Trad

This was my first trad and multi-pitch climb. I didn't lead, but it was super cool to be climbing multiple pitches on gear that we were placing/taking out! It was fairly easy climbing but still fun!
