Description:

The trail is easy to follow at first, but gets more difficult as you go. Start very early-its a long difficult hike to the refugio, though there should be a faint trail all the way.
The mountain is completely different from the description in the Brandt guide. Everything is much more overgrown than it was when the book was written, so don't let that fool you.
There really isn't a trail above the refugio, so sharpen your machete and carry a map and compass. Water is available at the refugio-in fact it will probably be raining so hard you won't be able to see anything!
Difficulty is F, but don;t let that fool you. This is a lot of work and a tremendous amount of suffering. This is a good challenge if you want something different from the big glaciated peaks.
