Arete History
The half-arch didn't used to be filled in with the concrete that forms the arete. One day when I went to go climbing the key block from the arch had fallen and was embedded in the ground. Fairly quickly the City came in and erected formwork and filled in the arch with concrete. I went by every day until the forms were pulled off and then bagged the FA. This feature can actually be climbed in three different ways. If you climb it head on, straddling the arete it is V0. Climbing with one hand on the arete and the other on one of the faces, left or right, it is V1.

The Arete
This arete is surprisingly tricky. I looked at it and figured it would be easy, but it wasn't. However, once you figure out the body position and repetitive sequence, the redpoint is pretty easy.
