3 out of 5 stars Great J-Tree friction climbing.

Super run-out. TR'd this climb from anchors atop Heart and Sole. Hard first move. After that much friction smearing and dime pulling. Bolts are far apart. Time to be smooth.

4 out of 5 stars Intro to thin face climbing J-Tree style

Followed Greg's lead. Attempted to remove small fixed cam down low. Like a ballet in the middle. Fun crack moves above.

5 out of 5 stars Fun finger and hand crack

Literally cruised up this easy crack. Put most of the pro in down @ the bottom. Not a great challenge.

3 out of 5 stars Hairball even on TR

Climbed this on top-rope. Looked too sketchy to lead and sunlight was fading fast. As it was, I was rapping in a hurry. Took us over four hours to find this area. Walked out in the dark under moonlight. Good to do the hardest approach first.

4 out of 5 stars Fun overhanging route

Great route with powerful-feeling overhanging positions. Creative pro possibilities. Stopper cracks and horn slinging.

5 out of 5 stars Desert tower burl-fest

Climbed this route with Greg. Lots of sand and loose death-blocks. Led the first and third pitches. Didn't have enough gear to lead the first pitch safely. Did a lot of leapfrogging of cams. Hung once on the second lead. Burly handjamming over a couple roofs. Spooky following the fourth and final pitch. This climb left an indelible impression on my psyche.

5 out of 5 stars Airy, sandy face climbing on a desert tower

Followed Greg on the first pitch. Led the second pitch. Was in the zone. Styled the face climbing. Awesome low summit!

5 out of 5 stars Smoooth

Fun route. Wish the crack went all the way to the ground. Needed small cam (yellow or green alien) to protect half-mantel around boulder down low. Climb is so fun that it's over b4 you expect.
