Go to www.carolinaclimbers.org to view some jaw dropping aerial photos of the tallest cliff in eastern US that the CCC is buying next month! After recovering your senses, consider making a year end, tax deductible contribution to help save this national treasure. Thanks! :D

Done. Maybe by the time Laurel is open to climbing, my shoulder will have healed. In any event, I sent $50. Should buy gumballs for all the participants and maybe even some change left over for sodapop. ;-) John Meyer is awesome. I spoke with him a few years ago about his idea of purchasing large tracts and selling off non-core lots to fund them. It was brilliant then and it's brilliant now, and you guys have achieved brilliant results. I hope this sort of success with his model can be replicated nationwide, now that its power is on full display. Cheers!

Why would phaedras move a topic that helps the climbing community as a whole (a local climbing group making a monumental purchase of a closed area) to the backwater of View This? Does he not like the CCC? Does he not like groups asking for donations on the site? Does my posting violate a site rule? I am just curious. Seems to me that a public service deserves publicity. Many RCers have donated and we are grateful.
