These forums are not for self advertisement. Buy an ad or GTFO!

Awful Web Site. Looks like it took 15 minutes to do in MSWord. BTW - Nice shameless self promotion. At least use a different username than the one that is the contact information of your Site. It will make look more third party.

I think what most of us have the problem with is the presentation, not necessarily the self promotion. If they just would have said "I'm trying to start this new website with climbing clothes can you check it out and give me some feedback", it would have been all good but playing it off like they're an independent third party? That's just in bad taste.

web design rule #1 - if its under construction, don't post it. Unless starting from scratch, it doesn't matter anyway.

I ain't a marketing major, but the name of the company isn't very appealing. While 5.9 is a more honest representation of the overall climbing population's level, it's not very sexy. I don't know how many tshirts and beanies you can realistically expect to move with that stamped on em. And I mean that as real, constructive criticism. Unless you're going for that tongue in cheek irony that seems to be popular with the kids these days. Other thoughts- well, cliffhanger beat me to it. (Perhaps you could stamp the 5.9 logo on some panties for everybody to get in a bunch?)

Now http://www.fivenineplus.com could work. That's a real grade for hard climbers. Anyone that's climbed at Josh or the Valley knows what's I be saying.

if you are looking for constructive criticism... as a web developer...your site doesnt work in Mozilla [FireFox] so while i know this is still being worked on, i think if you are serious about the site it needs a more consistent graphical layout (vs. just a white bg) and it should work across say the top 3 browsers. for starters.
