I think some of the info in this article is a little outdated, particularly the number of routes and the quality of the bolts. There are many more routes now, and, generally speaking, I think the pro is decent. The older climbs are certainly more sporty. See this TR for some good beta: (yes, shameless plug of my own TR) http://groups.google.com/...l%241%40news3.bu.edu

I didn't really notice the bolt spacing being "run out." I thought the routes were comfortably bolted. Yankee Clipper and Snot Girz are must do climbs there (Yankee clipper has a registry). Make sure you go to the market for tacos and have a great time!

I'd agree generally with this article and I certainly had a good time down there. However, it's worth emphasizing the loose rock issue. My wife and I had a close call with a large loose block pulled off by a climber above us, and there have been deaths and serious injuries caused by rockfall. Be aware of this and take proper precautions, such as this is one of the few mostly sport areas that I'd recommend bringing a helmet to.

If you'd like to see pictures, I have beta and tons of pictures of the area, cliffs, climbs, accommodations, etc... on my website: http://cliffmama.com/...o/General_Diary.html If you are interested in where to stay, I also have a web page with a review & pictures of the places there, however it's a little out of date and I haven't had time to fix it, so there aren't any links to it. Send me a message if you'd like to see it as-is and I'll send you the URL. I'll be there again for my 4th trip in February. Jannette
