Hi folks,
has anyone done the jubilaumsgrat cause I am thinking of doing it solo in june(so hopefully by then most of the snow and ice is gone) and i've read a few reviews so far but I'm not sure if it is really doable solo....

It's more a long hike with occasional scrambling.
I didn't need a rope there; afaik most people do that ridge ropeless.

Depends on how good your skills are.
And also on what the "Jubilaumsgrat" is. I assume you meant the "Jubiläumsgrat" leading to the Zugspitze.
I havent done it, but from what i have heard, that thing is just an easy via ferrata, albeit its kinda long.
Seems like many folks are doing it with a bivy, (or order the helicopter after the first hard part  ) but on the other hand i know folks that have done it in way under a day (in winter).
I can probably tell you more tomorrow, when i get to my guidebooks.
Maybe you tell a bit of your experience level?

Indeed,the grat along the zugspitze...
Personal skill level-alpine climbing PD, rockclimbing 6a+ vorsteig...Mountain walking alone often enough on all terrain with many scrambles and ridges along the path.
I know its more than just a via ferrata and i am not worried about the difficulty level if I were doing it with someone else but doing it solo might take it to a different level....

I'm planning on the Boogersplatz this spring, of course leading into the Poopaspitzenburger to summit via the Hairydonkeyballz Arete. 
I love European climbers.

Just had a look in my guidebooks.
Its everything between walking, a via ferrata and climbing up to UIAA II
However the via ferrata parts are only small parts, and there are only a few pythons in rather loose rock.
So if you are not comfortable soloing a loose II, this is probably not the place for you.
Times are quoted to be between 7 and 10 hours (as mentioned, i know folks who are a lot faster, but then there's also a lot of folks who manage to epic on that ridge, so you results maay vary.
Other stuff: There is a bivy hut, though its not equiped.
Also there is only one "emergency exit" and thats supposed to be rahter difficult.
If you are on the ridge, you are on the ridge!
If you are interested in doing something in the Zugspitz area, i suggest you look for guidebooks, and maybe also look for some other options. Especially for rock climbing the bavarian forealps around Garmisch and the Oberreintal are a real nice destination.

Many thanks for looking it all up! I'll see what happens but honestly I think it is doable for me...I'll obviously get a guide book for the area cause I intend to have a look around whilst I'm there, part of the fun is discovering all these beautifull places in the world!
