Looking to buy 1 or two of these Ushba Titanium Hearts for racking ice screws. Anyone know where I might be able to locate these, or maybe you have a pair or one that you might want to part with? Ushba was purchased by Liberty Mt several years ago and discontinued much of the product line.

I googled this and I came away mystified. How does one rack screws on that thing? I can see racking draws on it, but how do you attach a screw?
(I'm sure this will be blindingly obvious once explained, but I'm having a low-functionality day.)

Hey MS1
You pop the hanger of the screw up through the center of the inverted heart...shorties on one side, longer ones to the other. To get them off all you have to do is pull them straight up and off they come. A guy I climb with has them and loves them. I just can't seem to locate them...hope I didn't miss the bus!

Hey Retro, Ive got one of these I've used for carrying pins.
It's the one in the lower left. It can be fixed to your harness. If you think it'll work for you, give me a PM.

You see these on rare occasion on Ebay.
Have you looked at other racking options?
I've been using these doubled up 'biner gizmos made by Simond that work quite nice( also made by Lucky and i believe Petzl).
I started making them myself, consisting of; 2 biners, a piece of Bic pin or aluminum tubing all held together with black tie raps( UV), the nice thing; push come to shove , you can break these down and have rappel 'biners- no superfluous gear!
I think racking screws is of extreme importance; it's just I was raised with the edict of having gear that is not of singular use.
Charlie Fowler use to preach this;if you needed to, could you rappell with, belay with this; can you, if need be get out of a predicament with what you have: if need be?
McGyver-ism is key to survival and success .
Sorry for preaching.
Been away from the ice too long; getting cold here though, and there's ice in those hills- I can smell it.

Thanks Julio...all good suggestions. I will try the piton holder and see how that works out. I have looked at the Simond double biner set-up, but can't seem to find a dealer that has them in stock...
