I have two aiders and i was wondering if it was okay to use both of them at once, then for the second piece of pro. i could just clip that with my daisy chain, then unclip the two aiders below me and re-attach them on the new piece that i'm hanging from. I would use one aider, but that feels really akward.

Hey blindslap You wrote..."then unclip the two aiders below me and re-attach them on the new piece that i'm hanging from." How are you going to unwieght the lower aiders so that you can unclip them? How are you hanging on this new piece? You mean all of your body wieght is simply on the upper daisy? That sounds much much more akward and uncomfortable than the standard 2 aider sequence which involves one aider on each daisy. If you find the 2 aider system to unstable you should try using 3 or 4 aiders. If you don't want to spend the money on another pair right now you can always make them with webbing.

please see the dr. piton advise in the aid forum. i won't answer the question, but will give you something to ponder upon (much like the dr. does to me) how do you propose to bounce test your upper piece enough to know that it will hold a fall? all i can say, is you came to the right place for an accelerated learning curve. welcome!

Buy another set of aiders, its not too expensive and you be rewarded with improved speed and an easier time climbing! Some people only use two aiders, and they swear by it, I have found that 4 works best for me! Be sure that your colors are different!
