Anyone ever compete in these bouldering comps? If so, what division, and how did you place???? D

They are pretty popular in New England during the winter when the rock climbing possibilities are limited. They can be alot of fun and give you a chance to meet new people and see old friends. I usually sign up in the Masters (age 40+) category and have won several. If there is no Masters division then I enter Intermediate and have placed anywhere from first to last.

I started doing some of the ABS comps in SoCal, not because the rock is too cold to climb (it's in season actually), but just to try it out and push myself on new problems and climb with people much better than me. I've only entered in the Open category and rank anywhere from last to third (usually last though =)

My gym hosts two per year and I set for both, so I don't get to compete. It is a pretty fun week, though, with a great climax!
