In reply to: does anybody know if i can just come an hang out and watch this event? Sure, but don't just watch, climb! These are fun events and where you finish in the standings will matter only as much as you want. There's a comp at Ibex in Kansas City tomorrow (12/11). I'm bummed that I can't make it. d.

check out rockcomps.com. Most ABS comps have categories for various ages (kids, juniors, adult, and masters) and various abilities (beginner, intermediate, advanced, and expert). Not all comps have all categories though. I've never been to an ABS competition that hasn't been fun for all abilities and all ages!

If you are not an ABS member and pre register the cost will be $25.00, but if you don't pre register and pay at the door the cost will be $30.00. The format is Redpoint and the categories are: Juniors, Recreational, Intermediate, Advanced, and Open,( there will be finals for Open.) If you would like to still pre register email me @: bread@northlander.us and I will send you one. Also check out the info on are web site @: www.northlander.us. Thanks
